JSL Spitfire |
Handgun | ★★★★ | Niche uses | A Britbong copy of Cz-75! ...And kinda weird. She's sort of setup for the 2MG 2SG 1HG thing that doesn't come up much and is defensively oriented, but sometimes it comes up. Just... not on any content currently. Does occasionally see actual use as a result, but she's not going to be your first pick for most jobs. The problem is that RoF reduction is kinda meh, as while it does reduce enemy DPS, it merely slows down the rate of being shot, as opposed to making shots worse (good for SGs as their armour can more readily absorb it) or less accurate (which helps Eva tanks just not be damaged entirely), making it the weakest of the enemy attack stat debuffs. |
Norinco NZ75 |
Handgun | ★★★★★ | Core fodder | Another fucking CZ-75 clone, this time from China. Unfortunately for her, her buffs and skill are all over the place, and most of the time you're better off with a more focused HG – Type-92 gives you a lot more dodge and not significantly lower DPS, Grizzly gives you a whole fucking lot more DPS, Welrod is a better debuffer, etc. |
Noel |
Handgun | Special | Trophy Raifu | Imagine how bad Noel was at her lowest point in her own series. ...Now imagine its worse. Somehow arguably less useful than P7 who has similar tiles, and her skill is kind of awful. She's a perfect storm of not being particularly good at any 1 thing while also not being really acceptable at any of them. Also she jumps forward during her skill. This can have unexpectedly bad effects on enemy positioning sometimes, including units... uh.. simply walking past her, to the map edge, which makes you lose. There are arguably some scenarios where she's useful, but those are... niche to the extreme and honestly if you're one of the people who CAN pull those off, you dont need me to explain anything to you. |
Heckler & Koch HK45 |
Handgun | ★★★ | Niche uses | Her damage buff is respectable for a 3* handgun, her tile layout… not so much. The X layout will typically make her excel in a 2SG2MG1HG setup. That setup is very niche and won't come up often. Outside of that, her buff tiles force her into a forward position as main or off tank. She's absolutely not suited for this with her poor HP and evade, and her buffs aren't good enough to really justify it mostly. If youre running and RF HG, you want Calico there usually. |
Daewoo Precision Industries K5 |
Handgun | ★★★★ | Good | Her basic tile buff is excellent, which instantly makes her the best handgun to use with MG echelons at day. It's also good for AR echelons at night, if you don't have 5* PEQs on your ARs, similar to SAA. The combination of a significant HG evasive buff plus very decent rifle damage buff also makes her a solid alternative to Grizzly for RFHG echelons. So far, so good. She used to have some tile fuckery, but they have since fixed having fun. At least she has a mod now. |
GSh-18 |
Handgun | ★★★ | Interesting. DPS Handgun. Fun at Night. | The first DPS handgun that actually produces well.. actual dps. Also might have possibly gotten lost from Kancolle. Her skill gives her doubleshot and 100% crit rate while active, which is surprisingly strong on a handgun. Dont knock it. Great as the damage dealer for 5HG teams, or a variety of misc. uses since she actually has alright tiles too. While she's not super impressive during the day (especially compared to good ARs), she shines at night due to being able to pack 100% crit rate while equipped with a PEQ. Her main disadvantage is what a pain in the ass she is to get, since you need the first 5 volumes of the Comic in the Cafe. Her special costume requires the other 5. This is a heap of batteries. She's pretty decent though, so it's not exactly a waste to do it. She also has a mod, and the review for that can be found here. |
Jill Stingray |
Handgun | Special | Mixing Drinks, Changing Metas | It's time to mix drinks and change formations. As a bartender, one might wonder exactly WHAT Jill can possibly do on a battlefield, and I'm sure she's asking the same thing. Jill has a lot of firsts. She's the first unit in the game a player can use that doesn't shoot at all. She's the first one to have 8 different unique gears, and she's the first one to have a skill whose effects vary based on equipment. She's also the first one to have such an annoyingly complicated skill. The skill is everything. Her tile buffs are great, but they HAVE to be, because she doesn't contribute damage on her own. What her FP stat does is make her skill CD go down faster (except initial. Also caps at 30%, but this is INDEPENDENT of the reduction from rifle tilebuffs so yes, THOSE stack. Multiplicatively.). Unfortunately this means while she's good, how good she is depends almost entirely on how much you can use her ability to mix drinks, which btw, she can't do properly until lvl80. Drinks are discussed in more detail in the detail page, because this is gonna be a long one. |
Sei Asagiri |
Handgun | Special | Niche uses | Everyone's favourite White Knight! (Unless you like Tim better, you weirdo.) Same tiles as Grizzly (literally the same), but with a defensive skill instead of an offensive one. She only shields Shotgun, SMG and HG dolls so it isn't full coverage (unless you're an all HG team anyway), but the ability to shield something like KSG is nice. Her shield actually scales based on how damaged a unit she's shielding is, but the exact formula remains a mystery (less HP = more shield though). |
Beretta Px4 Storm |
Handgun | ★★★★★ | Ridiculously Strong Buffer | A ridiculously overpowered handgun in the right hands. If you know what you're doing, she is absolutely bonkers. Led to a meme on older servers where "the practical number of RF teams you could field was equal to your sets of Px4 and Five-seveN." Strictly speaking it isn't true, but it gives you an idea of how valued she is. What she does with her active skill (at lvl10) is reduce crit rate by 20%, but increase your crit damage multiplier by 50% for all dolls in her tiles. Considering that crit damage STARTS at 150%, and that its tile based, which means you can engage in tile fuckery (which makes these effects stack MULTIPLICATIVELY), and there you go. For RFs, with a +10 Gold Scope and 5-7, they maintain 100% crit rate through all this. For ARs, you need to worry about the math a bit more, but it is generally an overall increase unless your critscopes suck. Works with TAC-50, which is part of why she was so hideously overpowered. |
Sig Sauer P226 |
Handgun | ★★★ | Basically a Worse Spitfire | The doll is basically Spitfire with slightly different buff tile layout/focus (less FP, more Acc). Frankly, she's really boring statwise and enemy RoF reduction is usually worse than FP reduction (which is good for armor/shield tanking) or acc reduction (Which is good for Eva tanking) and the Spitfire entry has the rest of my thoughts on that. She thinks of herself as an elite doll, due to the P226's previous adoption by the US Navy SEALs (hence the Seal she has with her) and has a bit of a rivalry with M9, claiming she should absolutely be the more popular one. More info on the notes. |
United States Pistol, Caliber .45, M1911 MOD |
Handgun | ★★★★ | Early Trash Cleaner |
A really expensive trash cleaner. Basically when she pops smoke, she then goes Alvin York and blasts away 7 times for extra damage, hitting the farthest enemy and working her way closer to the front with every shot. If there are no closer enemies, she just keeps shooting that one until someone else has gotten closer (either because its dead and thus a new thing is closer, or something ran ahead of it). Note that while the skill has an ICD of 1 second, she doesn't actually start blasting away until 3 seconds in due to the throw animation. |
Triple Action Thunder |
Handgun | ★★★★ | Tragic, just like her life up to now | More famous for suicide memes and her ship with Calico than actually being used. I really want to like her, but she has a few glaring flaws that drag her down more than all her emotional baggage already does. Her skill, while packing way more multiplier than any other skillshot (12x!) AND also boasting an impressive 46 Firepower on a handgun, suffers from being able to miss (uses standard acc formula). Now, 57 hit is enough for most applications most of the time and she can equip PEQs at night to deal with that, and she reloads extra fast if she misses, but it's simply not as good as many other skillshots that have ZERO chance to miss to begin with. It does at least, come online very fast at 4 seconds. Next, while the tilebuff itself is impressive, the shape is... not suited for most applications, pretty much forcing her to be in the 5 position to get much real use out of it unless you're buffing something at 4. Having her in that position wouldn't be so bad if she didn't ALSO have the worst Eva stat of any HG, so know what you're getting into. She isn't the worst HG in the game, but there's so many better choices for most roles that you would put her in that most simply don't have a real reason to resort to using her. |
MP-443 Grach |
Handgun | ★★★ | Decent enough | Basically Glock 17 but with different tile buffs (and personally less goofy). Often compared to Nz75, but reduces damage outright instead of RoF so I personally find it better. Tiles are ok, and more importantly, unlike Nagant, she works the same day or night She's not actually bad, but you won't usually need the exact combination of what she offers. She's there if you need her though. Also she appears to have gacha currency on hand. |
Cz-52 |
Handgun | ★★★ | Budget FP buff if you ran out somehow | Not much to say. If you somehow dont have enough FP buffing handguns (unlikely unless you're noduping handguns and deploying lots of units in ranking) then she's a budget pick. Not bad for a 3 star HG but she won't see use very often simply because you're likely to have better ones lying around. |
Colt Python |
Handgun | ★★★★★ | Ridiculous Force Multiplication Potential | Forget what Clint Eastwood said, THIS is the most powerful handgun in the world. Somehow packing a .357 Magnum cartridge that deals more damage than .50BMG or whatever the hell Contender is in. Python is a ridiculous handgun that with the right formations, does absolutely disgusting things to the game. She needs her skill at lvl10 to be reliable, but oh boy when it does. Besides being a handgun with actual DPS (that can get really high), she also acts a buff booster, applying stacking buffs of her own whenever she receives a buff from almost any source, giving them to herself and anyone in her buff tiles. When she gets a RoF buff, she gives a RoF buff. When she gets an Acc buff, she gives an Acc buff. When she gives an FP buff, she too gives FP buffs. And that's just the passive. Her active gives her a stacking self FP buff and counts among "almost any other source", so yeah, triggering it ALSO gives FP buffs to everyone else. This, on top of amazing buff tiles basically gives her ridiculous performance for a handgun. Just don't think she's some allmighty goddess of doom that wins on her own. What she is is an insane force multiplier when used right, and you need some force to multiply to begin with. Used wisely though, easily 1 of the best HGs in the game. |
