Objective: Rescue and Secure 1 Hostage
Turn Limit: 3
Echelon Limit: 2
Recommended Echelon(s): AR/SMG (x2)
This mission is a game of "dodge the mortar fire". The objective has you run through no man's land to rescue the hostage. You also have to watch out for enemies trying to take your own Command Center, so be sure to have an echelon guarding it. Mortars will have a marker on the nodes they're on, and will also have a line like your own HOCs to the enemy they're supporting, so be aware of that.
The enemy spawns in this gauntlet run are random, but you shouldn't be fighting too many of them. So the idea is that you want to dodge as many enemies as possible, especially ones that have mortar support. You can move onto the mortar's node to destroy it, but it's not too needed. In battles that you can't avoid, pretend it's like a Jupiter Cannon. Retreat the T-Doll that's being targeted unless you want it to eat a missile. The damage isn't too hefty but try not to get hit often. If you have a strong opening burst with T-Dolls like K2 or AN-94, you can easily clear fights and be a bit more risky with battles that have mortars in them.
Once you've collected the hostage, now you need to make the run back before the turn limit's up. If you have a parachute, this is a good time to use it, but if not, follow the same ideas as running to the hostage originally.
