Ok, so clarification on that recommended: You don't need 4x RF/HG echelons for this, but it's definitely the ideal. MGs can work well, however there's a few instances of enemies with evade (the Cyclopses) so it can be iffy. AR/SMG can also handle this, but you'll want as much +Firepower as you can for the high armor targets. You also have the option of running a gunboat in this to get around the Typhon baiting section of this guide.
Objective 1 Strategy#
Unlike Mark, this doesn't have a viable clever strategy to get around defending the short route that requires a bunch of combat echelons. You could try to do that, but there's no source of resupply besides capturing that 1 Helipad, and frankly that's harder given your time limit. Instead, you're going to need to brute force down the middle with a powerful force that can take on Hydras.
Have some good Rifle teams and just bully your way through the middle, making sure every node attached to a Helipad is secure. There's no real finesse here, just brute force and numbers. Every Helipad has a chance to spawn Hydras, so be prepared for that. There's also Typhons on the other end of the one way path attached to the supply node, so either have a gunboat ready to greet them, or send dummies down that side to lead them away. Once you've secured the route for 3 turns, you've won.
Objective 2 Strategy#
OBJECTIVE: Survive
Get a nice RF echelon and park it on your Command Center and hit end turn until you win.
