A note before we begin is that you get bits of story per Machlian you kill. If you want to look at all of it, you'll have to take out all of the Machlians. You also get an achievement for doing this.
Our goal is to escort M4A1 all the way through a ton of enemies, with some death stacks, to a marked node on the other side of the map. To start with, we don't even have access to the side of the map that M4 starts on, and we need to make a way to get over there, so let's get started.
On turn one, we're mostly going to focus on establishing AP for future turns. We want to take the closed Heliport to the right of our Command Center, as doing that will also surround capture the other closed Heliport there. Move your first echelon there, then deploy a dummy echelon and move them up. We want more room for extra echelons later. With the last bit of AP, move M4A1 up one node.
On turn two, a bunch of Machilans will spawn in that can cause some issues, but they're pretty ignorable for now. First of all, what we should be working on is moving to the bottom half of the map. Deploy a second combat echelon and send one of them down next to the unopened portal. Be sure to have a combat echelon on the closed Heliport above your Command Center, since Machlian will try and take it from you. Next, you want to move M4 up to the Radar Tower. This will let her open a portal to the lower half of the map. Swap your combat echelon down there and move them to the right to engage the Cherub.
On turn three, move M4 down to let her use the portal to go back down to the bottom half of the map. Time to start moving to the designated node. We want to clear a path for M4 to move there, so move your echelon and start clearing the area to the right. We want to clear all of the enemies up until the Heavy Heliport. Leave your combat echelon on the node above it so it is captured via encirclement. Use your remaining AP to start moving M4 towards the right.
On turn four, we want to start clearing a pathway up for M4. However, we do want to avoid the death stacks patrolling around. Deploy a dummy echelon at the Heavy Heliport so you can resupply. Next, move the echelon at the Heavy Heliport two nodes to the right, clearing out the stationary Doppelsoldner, then up twice to the EMP node, then right one node to stay out of range of the death stacks. Use up the remaining AP to keep M4 moving to the right.
On turn five, we'll clear out the remaining enemies in our way. Move the echelon we used last turn up two nodes, then left two nodes, then take out the last enemy in our way. M4 should have a clear path to the ending now.
On turn six, make your way through all of the death stacks with M4 and head to the marked node. Capturing it will end the map.
