Objectives: Kill all the Ares mechs, probably taking all the Heliports
Recommended Echelon(s): AR/SMG, RF/HG (x3) or MG (x3) or some combination of that.
Echelon Limit: 4
For this map we have a bunch of Ares mechs about to rush us and blast us. For assistance, we have a bunch of EMPs as well as one-use gates we can use to damage the mechs. Just this would be easy, but they also have the added condition of needing to capture a bunch of Heliports as well, effectively needing us to split our forces to accomplish both tasks. Thankfully though, the enemies are fairly easy to deal with.
First things first, we want to start capturing the Heliports on the right. Leaving them up for a while will make things much harder. So, start off with your three MG or RF echelons (or a mix) deployed. Move whatever's on the right Heliport all the way over to the set of four Heliports on the right. Take the closest enemy-owned Heliport. Deploy an AR/SMG echelon back where you started. We also want to start grabbing EMPs for the Ares mechs. Persica has the ability to summon up an AR team clone, so use it on the node to the left. Swap with them, grab the EMP, and swap back. Free movement!
On turn two, do the same trick with Persica, but instead on the node above her. Swap up so you can start moving her up to where the Ares mechs are. We also want to start capturing the lower row of Heliports on the right. Swap your AR echelon to the left, then head down. Move to the right, then bottom right twice. Now you can pick up the EMP sitting there and use it on the Hydra. With this, your AR echelon should be able to take the Hydra. Move through it to the right until you're under the first Heliport in the row. We don't really have enough AP to make this work, so just leave your echelon there. Look at the top row of Heliports and move your echelon there one to the right. To finish things off, go back to the middle and move the MG or RF echelon that's sitting on the right Heliport to the left, so it's on the middle Heliport.
On turn three, move Persica up one node via the swapping trick once again. The echelon sitting on the console will now want to slam the middle gate on the Ares mech that is right in your face. Make sure to only use that gate. Move them to the right after you've done that. Over to the Heliports on the right, move your top echelon to the right one node. Move the bottom echelon up one node. We can end the turn here.
On turn four, we can take care of the Heliports on the right real quick. Be sure you're resupplied, then move your bottom echelon right one node and the top echelon left three nodes. Now for the first Ares mech. It should have moved onto the console node. So, have Persica toss her EMP on it and then engage it with one of your MG or RF echelons sitting there. Probably best to do that with the one on the right, since the left should have some stuff threatening the Heliport. Once that's done, slam the left gate on the Ares mech sitting on it. Use Persica to grab another EMP. Use the AR team swap trick to go to the right, then actually move her down to the EMP on the bottom right. Grab it and move back to where she started. Since we have an excess of AP, you can use the spawned AR team to take out any overflow from the bottom right Heliport set. Just run them at anything that's moving towards Persica. End the turn after you're done.
On turn five, start by slamming the last Ares mech with the gate it's sitting on. At this point there isn't much left on the map to do aside from dealing with Ares mechs. Move Persica up to the console and retreat one of your RF or MG echelons. We can use them to wrap up the bottom right Heliports a small bit faster. Move the echelon you have at the bottom right Heliports right two nodes. Deploy an echelon down there and have it sit on the unoccupied enemy Heliport. Wraps that up. Move your top echelon from that section over to the Hydra that's been trying to get to you for awhile. Kill it. Now it's just EMP Ares mech->kill it. So do that and end the map.
