Zero-Sum
Objective: Defeat the Ares Mech
Echelon Limit: 3
Recommended Echelon(s): RF, Dummy x2
This mission is pretty straight-forward. All we need to do is get to the Ares Mech without dying. We have a fair few shark-spawner things in our way though. These guys are sitting at around 130 armor, which may cause you some issues if you're using weaker AR teams. Therefore, it's recommended that you use RF echelons to push to the Ares Mech, or at least the Heliports nearby.
Anyway, to start things off, deploy your RF echelon and move it up one node. Deploy a dummy echelon on your Command Center.
On turn two, we can start heading to the top of the map. Not too far though, or else the Hydra will eat your face off. Move up two nodes and end your turn there.
On turn three, we can grab the Heliport node up there. So move up one node, then one node to the right and then up one more node. End the turn there. We can use the Heliport to repair any damage as well as possibly swap out the echelon we'll be using. There also should be a Heavy Heliport available this turn. If you have HOCs I'd suggest deploying them for some extra damage on the Ares Mech. If not, well, deploy another dummy echelon.
The problem with this Ares Mech is that, ideally, you'll want to have certain things available to you in order to properly deal with its mechanics. However, if you do have those things, it's likely that you're strong enough to burst it down quickly. If you're a newer player? I have no idea. I WANT to say it's weak enough that you can brute force it, but I'm not entirely sure. If you have access to HP shielding, that's the best way to fight it. Have the HP shields activate ASAP and coast through the mechanics. If not that, something that lowers enemy firepower quickly would also help quite a bit. Whatever you decide to do, good luck. Killing it will end the map and also finish the event.
