If you are worried about performance, she is godawful and somehow took one of the better MG skills (Hunting Impulse) and produced a shittier version with an 8s startup (missing the point of having HI) that only works well at night.
Heckler & Koch MG5	Machine Gun	★★★★★	Usable, but powercrept	Has the skill that makes M2HB so good (but with better numbers!), but with a little less attack in exchange for a non-garbage Accuracy score and having 16 max rounds (instead of 15) with a maxed gold ammo box, making her really good. Probably the best general purpose MG right now.

She's like seriously, not even a performance benefit. Their stats are almost identical and they have the same number of shots so you... might as well just raise LWMMG. Once you start considering mods, it does become a bit more interesting. Her mod gives her a good advantage towards the current (as of late 2023) meta set of enemies. So she can be worth raising for her mod.
United States Raifu, Caliber .30, Automatic, Bunny, M1918	Machine Gun	★★★★	Usable, gets better	The famous Browning Automatic Rifle. BAR-chan, Auntie, etc. The initial reward for starting the game early. Until then, kinda sadly, not as good. However, she will suffice in a pinch compared to other MGs due to her damage buff being unconditional (and better than M60's by default...). See her mod entry here for info about her mod. IWI NEGEV	Machine Gun	★★★★★	Niche uses	The cursed MG that eats your ammo and calls you a Nazi for having pathetic logistics. Fixes to the game have not been kind. She used to be pretty good back in the days of Reload Cancel, tearing apart armored bosses and enjoying high bonuses on reload. Those things are gone and there are now MGs that do her job better. Maybe she'll get a mod one day that'll actually help.
