Theoretically not that bad in RF echelons at super early game. Helps stall enemies for a short bit so that you can get your skills up earlier. Unfortunately, you don't really want to spend training data on a 2* Smoke grenade, and a lvl1 2* Smoke is really ineffective (and doesn't even last long).
