Sei Asagiri

Sei Asagiri
Handgun Special DPS Buffs, Shield Projector, More Useful Later

Everyone's favourite White Knight! (Unless you like Tim better, you weirdo.) Same tiles as Grizzly (literally the same), but with a defensive skill instead of an offensive one. She only shields Shotgun, SMG and HG dolls so it isn't full coverage (unless you're an all HG team anyway), but the ability to shield something like KSG is nice. Her shield actually scales based on how damaged a unit she's shielding is, but the exact formula remains a mystery (less HP = more shield though).

Frankly, this isn't very handy on EN as of yet, but it does have its uses down the line when barrage attacks become more common on enemies (or you just want to shield something like KSG and M590).

Jill Stingray

Jill Stingray
Handgun Special Mixing Drinks, Changing Metas

It's time to mix drinks and change formations. As a bartender, one might wonder exactly WHAT Jill can possibly do on a battlefield, and I'm sure she's asking the same thing.

Jill has a lot of firsts. She's the first unit in the game a player can use that doesn't shoot at all. She's the first one to have 8 different unique gears, and she's the first one to have a skill whose effects vary based on equipment. She's also the first one to have such an annoyingly complicated skill. The skill is everything. Her tile buffs are great, but they HAVE to be, because she doesn't contribute damage on her own. What her FP stat does is make her skill CD go down faster (except initial. Also caps at 30%, but this is INDEPENDENT of the reduction from rifle tilebuffs so yes, THOSE stack. Multiplicatively.). Unfortunately this means while she's good, how good she is depends almost entirely on how much you can use her ability to mix drinks, which btw, she can't do properly until lvl80.

Drinks are discussed in more detail in the detail page, because this is gonna be a long one.

GSh-18

GSh-18
Handgun ★★★ Interesting. DPS Handgun. Fun at Night.

The first DPS handgun that actually produces well.. actual dps. Also might have possibly gotten lost from Kancolle.

Her skill gives her doubleshot and 100% crit rate while active, which is surprisingly strong on a handgun. Dont knock it.

Great as the damage dealer for 5HG teams, or a variety of misc. uses since she actually has alright tiles too. While she's not super impressive during the day (especially compared to good ARs), she shines at night due to being able to pack 100% crit rate while equipped with a PEQ.

Her main disadvantage is what a pain in the ass she is to get, since you need the first 5 volumes of the Comic in the Cafe. Her special costume requires the other 5, whenever those come out. This is a heap of batteries.

She's pretty decent though, so it's not exactly a waste to do it.

Handgun ★★★ Usable

3* equivalent of Colt SAA. Useful if you're short on REAL AMERICAN GUNS, but given that SAA is easier to get, probably more a trophy raifu.

IWI Jericho 941

IWI Jericho 941
Handgun ★★★★ Usable in general, better at niche uses

Another CZ-75 clone, this time an Israeli one! The doll that Negev got her funny ideas from. Also Spike Spiegel's gun. If you don't know who Spike Spiegel is, you really should. Look it up, watch the show, I'll wait.

Her passive boosts dolls when they reload which... basically gives other MGs and SGs Negev-like buffs, except weaker. Unfortunately this is not helpful at all for general use because you don't want to be reloading in the first place. She also sucks for judge because judge also hits the back row and so she also eats damage. Does much better for other multimag fights but YMMV with that.

The active is ok but the %s are lower than other 4 star dolls are more 3 star territory, and require being in her tiles, which makes your formation kind of cramped, unlike what you can do with K5. It also doesn't help MGs much because... well, the startup CD.

Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken AG Parabellumpistole 08

Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken AG Parabellumpistole 08
Handgun ★★★ Core fodder

Aka P08, the Luger, the... it has a lot of names. Also 1 of the world's most collectible pistols. One of the earliest automatic pistols ever adopted by anyone, and a whole bunch of other honours.

It was however, not exactly a great battlefield weapon (in fairness, pistols in general were not), and the doll is... mostly that. Has FP and Acc tiles. Not as good as the Chinese Mak Clone or SPP1 for those. Unlike those, has a +eva skill instead of a +fp/acc/somethingoffensive skill.

Unfortunately this makes her less consistent than defensive pistols like Nagant, but it has the odd meme use. It is definitely not a practical standard use gun though, and more something you pull out because you for some reason need its weird mix of features (not likely, but it might happen) or are somehow very desperate (much more likely). If you need a night pistol on the cheap though, you're probably better off with... Nagant, Bren Ten, or 1911.

Daewoo Precision Industries K5

Daewoo Precision Industries K5
Handgun ★★★★ Recommended

Her basic tile buff is excellent, which instantly makes her the best handgun to use with MG echelons at day. It's also good for AR echelons at night, if you don't have 5* PEQs on your ARs, similar to SAA. The combination of a significant HG evasive buff plus very decent rifle damage buff also makes her a solid alternative to Grizzly for RFHG echelons. So far, so good.

…and then you notice that her skill is tile based. With proper setup, this means she gives an 174% evasion buff to HG/SMG, 81% damage buff to AR/RF, and/or 483% accuracy buff to MGs. This can a bit finnicky to pull off, but the results are hilarious enough to make it worth the effort.

Heckler & Koch HK45

Heckler & Koch HK45
Handgun ★★★ Niche uses

Her damage buff is respectable for a 3* handgun, her tile layout… not so much. The X layout will typically make her excel in a 2SG2MG1HG setup. That setup is very niche and won't come up often. Outside of that, her buff tiles force her into a forward position as main or off tank. She's absolutely not suited for this with her poor HP and evade.

Noel

Noel
Handgun Special Trophy Raifu

Imagine how bad Noel was at her lowest point in her own series. ...Now imagine its worse.

Somehow arguably less useful than P7 who has similar tiles, and her skill is kind of awful. She's a perfect storm of not being particularly good at any 1 thing while also not being really acceptable at any of them. Also she jumps forward during her skill.

This can have unexpectedly bad effects on enemy positioning sometimes, including units... uh.. simply walking past her, to the map edge, which makes you lose. There are arguably some scenarios where she's useful, but those are... niche to the extreme and honestly if you're one of the people who CAN pull those off, you dont need me to explain anything to you.

Norinco NZ75

Norinco NZ75
Handgun ★★★★★ Niche uses

Another fucking CZ-75 clone, this time from China. Unfortunately for her, her buffs and skill are all over the place, and most of the time you're better off with a more focused HG – Type92 gives you a lot more dodge and not significantly lower DPS, Grizzly gives you a whole fucking lot more DPS, Welrod is a better debuffer, etc.

She has some uses but generally, you have a specific idea in mind where you need everything she offers at the same time, and will probably not need me to explain what your exact need is in such a case.

JSL Spitfire

JSL Spitfire
Handgun ★★★★ Niche uses

A Britbong copy of Cz-75! ...And kinda weird. She's sort of setup for the 2MG 2SG 1HG thing that doesn't come up much and is defensively oriented, but sometimes it comes up. Just... not on any content currently on EN. Does occasionally see actual use as a result, but she's not going to be your first pick for most jobs.

Thompson/Center Contender

Thompson/Center Contender
Handgun ★★★★★ Recommended

She has some of the highest damage and crit buffs in the game, with the best possible tiles ("All around her"), and her skill allows her to override the targeting logic of most other dolls¹, making them focus their fire some, very unlucky fucker (boss if present, otherwise furthest/highest HP/nearest enemy, depending on whether Contender is back/middle/front row). Oh and the skill doesn't wait until impact - the bonuses kicks in as soon as the shot leaves the muzzle. She also can equip AP ammo, which doesn't come up much, but there's a few fights later where this is immensely valuable and if you're using a HG vs armour at night, well... you know. Did I mention she has 40% base crit? She does.

Type59 Handgun

Type59 Handgun
Handgun ★★★ Niche uses

Chinese Makarov clone. Similar job to SPP-1, but less boosting your side's acc and more on lowering the enemy's evade. With fairies coming up, not quite as important anymore, but may have use if you need enemy EVA down.

Honestly would be fodder but she has a decent enough tileset if you're lacking in HGs with FP boost. Gets considerably better in her mod form, which improves her tiles immensely.

Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten

Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten
Handgun ★★ Enhancement fodder

Yet another CZ75 clone. Mostly just fodder, but she has a +firepower buff skill that isn't super horrible and a +firepower buff-tile that make her usable in an emergency where you somehow need firepower buffers but lack any. %s are passable but not great.
