Dorothy Haze

Dorothy Haze
Submachine Gun Special Versatile, especially in bed

Yes I know that's not really her name. And yes, you'd think the unit whose hands are actual guns would be a handgun, but nope, she's an SMG. MICAAAAAAAA. Anyway out of everyone, probably the most immediately useful on EN because of what EN faces.

She has a pretty interesting skill that reminds some of C-MS. What it is is mildly more complicated, because it comes with good AND bad sides, and allows her to be both a main tank and an off tank. As an off tank, she provides decent firepower with 100% uptime, a debuff no one cares about (-acc) and a really nice buff (constant eva up!) for the main tank, while as a main tank she has permanent Eva up, buffs acc of the same column ("vertical row") but actually makes the off tanks (or just people in the same column) a little less survivable. Skill discussed in more detail in her entry, but its fun stuff.

A problem she has though is the shape of the tiles. That lacking middle row really gets in the way, but she has enough other uses that this isn't too awful if you know what you're doing (For example, you want to buff the everloving bajeezus out of your main tank's dodge instead).

Also she buffs Rifles with her tiles too too, but this doesn't seem to come up all that much.

Stella Hoshii

Stella Hoshii
Rifle Special Trash Cleaner

She has very weird mechanics. I want to say something witty but that's really how it works. The most immediately noticeable thing is that her damage is actually cut in half and she fires twice. This seems odd but no, its not just a visual thing either, and both shots actually can end up on different targets. The first shot uses normal RF targeting, while the other has real time targeting to always shoot the farthest target. Vs heavily armoured (enough that AP rounds wont go all the way through) or high HP enemies, this can be bad. Or it can be excellent at trash clear.

Also note that because she shoots twice, it only takes half as many firing cycles as it says on the skill to get stacks, as she gets 2 stacks per cycle (1 per shot). It also has interactions with Sei and Jill that are in the detailed page.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
Rifle ★★★★★ Recommended

Madam Lee, The Empress, and a whole bunch of other names because she's popular with CN server. The gun that armed the British Empire through both world wars. High damage per shot, decent RoF. Has somewhat more issues with swarms than WA2000 and the other RoF-centric rifles, but will out damage them per shot and benefits greatly from RoF boost from accompanying HGs. Compared to Wa-chan, best for roles with smaller numbers of higher HP enemies.

Heckler & Koch G41

Heckler & Koch G41
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good

Kind of fetishized and sort of jailbait, but the standard by which most day battle ARs are judged by, and thus literally average. She's pretty much pure vanilla and a decent direct fire AR. Worse than G11, but still decent. Potentially usable with SR-3 if you need to. Pretty much the core of many second string teams.

QBZ Type 95

QBZ Type 95
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good

Arguably worse G41. Earlier start and better uptime, but lower %s. Mainly useful for when you absolutely must begin bursting at 2s in and the fight isn't long enough for otherwise better ARs to get their skills in. For the most part, kinda eh, but its easier to buff her than her sister. Decent as a second-stringer for a backup AR squad, but will never really be 1 of the top stars outside her special circumstances.

Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Recommended at night, okay at day

The Night Empress. The last word in Night Battle ARs (though 9A-91 gets close with her unique). Also somewhat usable during the day (G41 tier), but having +200% damage at night allows her to even do some damage to armor despite being an AR.

That said, with armour increasing dramatically in future events, most likely not worth duping. By Singularity, and especially later, armour will have increased to the point of making even low-tier rifles much better than ARs.

Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Usable

Similar to G41 in performance (actually slightly worse, but not significantly) and the artist just drawing their weird fetishes that land you in jail. She's basically a 5 star equivalent of Tavor sharing the primary weakness of taking 6s to startup instead of 4. The skill is good while active, but YMMV. She's not exceptional compared to the top end performers, but she's not exactly a slouch either.

Kel-Tec RFB

Kel-Tec RFB
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good

Her skill consists of two parts:

  • Make her use rifle targeting (backline priority): Not all that useful – if the backline really is dangerous, you want it killed now, not after six seconds, and better bring actual rifles or fairies to deal with it.
  • Buff herself: Her stats are good to begin with, and the buff is beefy – this makes her an excellent AR for all purposes.

She's stronger than most 5* ARs (including G41), but doesn't quite make the cut to AUG/AR-15/G11 levels of damage output; at night she's one of the more useful daylight ARs due to her high firepower and accuracy self-buff. (But, again, outclassed by the night royalty.)

Overall solid, but not amazing, with a mostly useless gimmick. Her biggest problem is AR power creep, she'll be outclassed further down the line, which makes her not much of a priority now.

T91 Assault Rifle

T91 Assault Rifle
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Usable, if you ignore the core cost.

Known on other servers as 5 cores .

She has marginally stronger performance to 9A-91 despite her significantly higher bases due to her considerably lower FP buff. You're honestly better off using daylight ARs at night rather than working on her due to cost.

Crit buff generally doesn't help much at night for ARs not named STAR15 or SOPMOD (unless you're doing something weird), and her FP boost isn't enough improvement over a day AR to make it worth your trouble. Even worse, Crit is calculated AFTER armor, so that makes her double sad.

SR-3MP

SR-3MP
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Really Good but STOP TRYING TO BUILD ECHELONS AROUND HER

A very strong direct damage SMG that badly needs an ACOG sight to boost her acc above the standard abysmal rating that SMGs normally get. She's basically an AR that can take the front row rather than an actual tank, since her idea of tanking is "If enemies are dead, I don't have to dodge right?" Very good for raw firepower type SMG/AR echelons, not so good if the fight(s) drag on and she takes damage.

If you have enough acc boost (which will need fairies, unless you're up against 0 evasion armoured enemies), you can use a critscope too, which makes her even dumber. Warning though that she relies VERY HEAVILY on gear, so be prepared to shell out for sweet sweet +10 Max Calib Bling Gear to truly make her shine. Also trips lolicon radars and may land you in jail.

Desert Tech Stealth Recon Scout (SRS)
Rifle ★★★★★ Good at night when they add evasive armoured enemies

Another piece of Jarv bait. Kind of. Also a vegetarian who dislikes the smell of meat... which of course other servers produced fanart of that has... interesting explanations that involve "does not love the spell of napalm in the morning.".

Statwise, the FP-buffing counterpart to T-5000; stats wise she's mostly between G28 and Lee-Enfield, and so a reasonable alternative for either if you need another another FP selfbuffer for some reason. Like T-5000, she had fairly meh ratings on other servers since while you basically had other options and she kinda isn't as good as Lee Enfield during AND is more expensive an option than G28, but eventually got her break when they started introducing enemies with Armour and Evade at night (EN got a taste during Va11halla event, but it'll be awhile before they return), where she did pretty well. Until then, she's actually not as cool as T-5000 (since RoF Rifles have more general use).

NORINCO QJY-88 (Type-88 Machine Gun)

NORINCO QJY-88 (Type-88 Machine Gun)
Machine Gun ★★★★★ Decent Multi-Volley MG

Because we need more things named Type-88 clearly.

Has both active and passive bits to their skill. Her active mode is basically an FP up - you've seen this before. Her passive mode is based on moving around. By default, she's in LMG mode and fires from the shoulder, and has increased movespeed. Her accuracy however, suffers a debuff while in LMG mode (although thankfully her acc stat isnt awful). Once she sits still for 6 seconds though, she sets up her bipod and goes into HMG mode, which gives her an acc BUFF and extends her belt by 2 shots. She switches back to LMG mode if made to move.

Equivalent to Alma. Alma will win early volleys (first 2 mags) but Type-88 will deal more for extended (3+ belts) fights. Both make MG4 cry.

Heckler & Koch G36 Mod

Heckler & Koch G36 Mod
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good

Modded version of G36

Distraught by the loss of her braid, she gets over it and discovers the TRUE maid was inside her all along. Or something like that.

Her stats are boosted a fair bit and the %s on her skill get a boost to 5 star levels. At mod 2, she gets a rider on her skill that boosts the Evade of stuff in her tiles, and also boosts her own RoF by 10% for every unit standing in her tiles (Max 2, yes it stacks multiplicatively). Yes, tile fuckery applies.

She does have the problem though that to fully make use of this skill, she needs units standing in the tiles, which weakens her flexibility a bit. Totally still fine for going gung ho and just blazing away in a static formation or if you can keep the formation such that stuff remains standing in the tiles though. Her performance is generally a bee's dick below that of AN94 (and makes a good match for AK12) in general use, but beats the Russians vs armored enemies.

Like any good HK product though, she's pretty expensive, so make sure you're sure about the investment and you have nothing else more important to work on (like AR team). Still, if you like the maid, definitely a thing to look at.

M4A1 Mod

M4A1 Mod
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GEAR

After literally years, M4 demonstrates WHY SHE IS THE HEROINE and becomes METAL GEAR.

She keeps all her old benefits but has 5 star multipliers and better stats now. This gets even better when Mod3 when she gets a unique that ups her firepower and ALSO gives her armour, so she can kinda tank in a pinch. Her buff tiles are ALSO slightly improved. Her mod 2 skill also tags enemies and enhances the mod skills of other Anti-Rain units.

The big thing however is the desperation mode. At mod2 onward, when 3 or fewer allied dolls are in battle (you can retreat 2 units to force this, or simply deploy her with a partial strength echelon), she pulls out the portable cannon and proceeds to deal hilarious damage that makes grenadiers wet their pants, as huge AoE blasts firing from every dummy. The blasts are kinda 100% accurate (the main hit can never miss, even at night, but the splash damage can. Its weird), and can partly crit (its complicated), and is meant to be a last ditch thing to save a fight under dire circumstances (of course, we instead abuse it). This is however, a doubled edged sword, as her RoF also goes down, so its possible for some enemies to slip by if you havent taken this into account.

Basically, Mod her first. She's pretty much priority #1 for modding.

Bofors Automatkarbin 5
Assault Rifle ★★★★ Good

AKA Ak 5

An upgraded version of the FN FNC, both IRL and ingame. Like FNC, her 5/8 skill uptime makes her burstier than the 10/16 of G36, with better stats, which evens out to DPS comparable to G36. Not your first choice for ARs, but solid… if you can be arsed to farm her.
