Heckler and Koch MP7

Heckler and Koch MP7
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Very Good High-uptime Dodge Tank

She calls you a zookeeper.

Basically packs a better version of Suomi's self-buff. Higher multpliers, lets her run faster on top, same good uptime, better base evade. HP is lower, but still really high at 198 per dummy (990 at 5 links at 100 - a pretty hefty amount still). Skill kills offensive stats but you dont care.

If you need a doll to dodge a lot for a long time, she's easily in the running for the job. (Competing with her nemesis, the P90.)

FN Ballista

FN Ballista
Rifle ★★★★★ Janky as fuck but potentially has some use

This a doll that's basically all or nothing. Her skill is a weird stacking system that isn't actually as it appears. She puts marks on the enemies, and then doubleshots those marked enemies. Seems easy enough right? Except oh boy that's not actually how it works. The marks are for targeting only - the number of times she doubleshots is stored on the doll, not the enemy, so the number of times she gets to throw out active markers is how many times she gets to doubletap, even if the markers disappear or the marked target is killed by something else.

The problem is of course the times are impractical and almost pointless unless her skill is lvl10. Another problem is while it has some potential uses, other top of the line rifles can match or exceed her general performance.

HK21

HK21
Machine Gun ★★★★★ Yet another Armor Buffer

She used to be useful because she had more true RoF than other MGs (9 frames vs 10) and was 1 of the faster reload cancels (with BAR). That was then.

Now type-88 MG and a certain titty hacker exist and her quirks dont apply anymore, and guess which EN got first.

Her skill is interesting but not exceptionally helpful. Also it actually slows down her movespeed, making anything involving walking take longer.

Basically, obsolescent before she was even released, just like the real gun. You can raise her if you want, though the big reason to raise her was she was an advantage doll in theatre mode 3 times in a row rather than combat effectiveness.

Saiga-12

Saiga-12
Shotgun ★★★★★ Solid General use 5 star Shotgun

Basically the world's most widely available magazine-fed self-loading Shotgun that actually works. Packing 23 base armour (2nd highest on an SG), a 3-tile FP buff, and a generous HP pool (1320 at 5 links), 5 shot mag (very high baseline for SGs), her base stats alone make her a pretty solid SG doll to take along.

That's good, since her skill is actually a little awkward.

First off, the 8s ICD actually puts it in the middle of a reload animation, so she doesn't actually fire it off at 8s unless you manually handle movement so she can fire at that point or you adjust her RoF (usually by giving her a scope with badly calibrated -RoF). Next, it's actually a skillshot, so it doesn't benefit from things like crits. On the otherhand it also means it can hit scouts at night, so hah. It's basically pretty goofily coded. However a side effect of the goofy code is once the skill is triggered, she can actually continue to fire it while moving so lol? Also it actually does a pretty chunky amount of damage if it does work.

Anyway it doesn't super matter, since most MG fights are over before the skill will matter anyway, so her really good base stats will carry the day.

H&K Fabarm FP6

H&K Fabarm FP6
Shotgun ★★★★★ Solid Base stats with weird skill

A shotgun from the makers of the SAT8! ...Except it's sold and marketed by HK because various reasons. It's... actually kinda so vanilla there's not many memes and I don't think any of them are really any good besides her silly Christmas outfit.

Excellent tilebuffs for running a 2SG frontline, while packing 24 armour (tied with KSG for highest base) while packing 1.3k HP at 5 links. This makes her useful regardless of everything else.

Her skill is a little questionable, but it stacks with itself multiplicatively (after armour) if 1 unit gets both (guaranteed if there's only 1 unit in the frontmost rank) and the knockback is, while not amazing, also not unwelcome. It's also on a 10second ICD so it'll rarely ever come up anyway, and her stats are solid for a frontrow tank in most typical fights with MGs.

Not as good as something like SAT8 in most situations, but not exactly something to turn away.

AK-74U (AKS-74U)

AK-74U (AKS-74U)
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Niche Uses (Kinda good with AK-74M)

It's actually an AKS-74U, but the game calls her AK-74U. I know, I know. Yet another AR the game calls a subgun because...shut up.

Actually had dummy data in the client waaay before her actual release in CT, so she actually got released with a voice even on older servers. ...And that's probably the most positive thing I can say. Her tiles are OK, her skill is weird (she debuffs enemies she's attacking instead of just all of them) and while the effects are alright, the uptime is pretty awful for tanking.

Potentially useful for some bosses with manual skill use to handle certain burst windows, but the cooldown after the initial skill use is loooong so it's not exactly the best choice for long term tanking.

You may have a use for her if you're creative with it, but it's not something to just tell people to prioritize raising. As a result, her primary use is telling you wind speed and direction, unless you have AK-74M and want an AK echelon, in which case she'll be one of your SMG tanks and is actually pretty decent since AK-74M makes her skill into a passive.

UMP45 Mod

UMP45 Mod
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Mod1 is an insane bang for your buck The others YMMV.

So if it hasn't been said enough, absolutely get the Mod1 the very second you can. It's 200 fragments and some cores for a fair boost in performance. Extra stats, a bit more FP buff on her tiles, a little extra HP, and an improvement to the slowdown effect on the smoke.

The real problem is her 2nd skill is janky and not extremely practical. It's a little bit of a bonus, but not likely to make or break a fight. So yeah, the Mod2 isn't great. The mod 3 however, gives her a unique equipment that goes in the suppressor slot and is basically a suppressor with better stats (+5 EVA over normal) which helps her tanking ability somewhat. Whether this is worth it up to you, but definitely get the Mod1 at least.

The rest of this is basically the same song and dance where she has top class offensive buffs that continue to remain unmatched among SMGs, so you WILL likely continue to use her.

Colt Python

Colt Python
Handgun ★★★★★ Ridiculous Force Multiplication Potential

Forget what Clint Eastwood said, THIS is the most powerful handgun in the world. Somehow packing a .357 Magnum cartridge that deals more damage than .50BMG or whatever the hell Contender is in. Python is a ridiculous handgun that with the right formations, does absolutely disgusting things to the game. She needs her skill at lvl10 to be reliable, but oh boy when it does.

Besides being a handgun with actual DPS (that can get really high), she also acts a buff booster, applying stacking buffs of her own whenever she receives a buff from almost any source, giving them to herself and anyone in her buff tiles. When she gets a RoF buff, she gives a RoF buff. When she gets an Acc buff, she gives an Acc buff. When she gives an FP buff, she too gives FP buffs. And that's just the passive. Her active gives her a stacking self FP buff and counts among "almost any other source", so yeah, triggering it ALSO gives FP buffs to everyone else.

This, on top of amazing buff tiles basically gives her ridiculous performance for a handgun. Just don't think she's some allmighty goddess of doom that wins on her own. What she is is an insane force multiplier when used right, and you need some force to multiply to begin with. Used wisely though, easily 1 of the best HGs in the game.

M4 SOPMOD MOD

M4 SOPMOD MOD
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Pretty much the best straight Grenadier

If you're looking for an 8s Grenadier, well, she was always a very strong choice, and now she's pretty much almost the default one for most circumstances by sheer stats and having the 2 accessory slots. Improved Grenade performance (not that most enemies will notice) and bonus MIRVs on top of that. She does get bonuses with M4, but due to the fact M4's marks affect her targeting (and potentially are buggy with her MIRVs), using her with M4 is not always ideal.

Aside from that, it's the same old SOP, but with a unique equipment (thats pretty much just an improved Eotech) and bigger numbers.

Barrett M82A1

Barrett M82A1
Rifle ★★★★★ Has some niche potential but not necessary

Yes, a gun people have wanted forever. The Light Fifty. Also known to some as Inorigun for the obvious reasons. (If it isnt, then the joke wouldnt be funny to you anyway)

A really weird... not-quite-a-bamboo who gets stronger the more battles the echelon has been in. Has 3 shots per battle, and the final shot is pretty strong, but it's VERY awkward to use. Can be used to kill stuff early (she was actually better at it than Kar98 then) such as say, Gundam removal, but these days with the existence of early charge bamboo rifles + M200, she isn't quite as top notch at it as she once was. She still works though.

Potentially better for nodupers than people who spam the superpopular rifles.

Remington M870

Remington M870
Shotgun ★★★★★ Niche Skill but has 5 star SG stats

Basically every weird Hell's Angels meme in 1 go, and also probably a little crazy. Sometimes called Super Longty.

Her skill is pretty much a Force Shield that works similarly to the Paradeus ones, except instead of an HOC depleting it, it slowly weakens on its own. Pretty much works the same way where at max level, you have a 1000 strength barrier that blocks out everything for a second, then it goes down by 100 every second, weakening the shield (so after 1s, it's 90% DR, after 2s it's 80%, and so on) until the shield shuts down at the 6s mark.

This is actually not bad DR at all and with timing, CAN be used to tank Golyats.

Except it has a 10s initial cooldown so AGGHHHHHHH.

It does have it's uses sometimes, but it's not your first pick because of that usually.

She does however, have typical good 5 star shotgun stats so if for some reason you lack shotguns, you can just bring her along and she wont really be bad at that.

ADS (Avtomat Dvukhsredny Spetsial'ny)

ADS (Avtomat Dvukhsredny Spetsial'ny)
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Specialist. Potentially Hilarious for Red Golyats.

Another weird Russian specialist gun, meant to fire both above and below the water, which is why the doll has weird underwater parts replacing her left leg.

Her skill is as annoying to explain as she is boring. Basically whenever she fires, she has a chance to apply debuffs (that reduce target RoF and move speed) on her target, which at 5 stacks, explodes in a grenade-like effect that deals damage and stuns the target. That's the passive. The active fires a debuff grenade that applies 3 debuff stacks (+2 for the primary target) and briefly increases her debuff proc chance to 100%.

Honestly it's really weird, but it has use for things like Golyats, which, coupled with things like shotgun knockback and some RoF buffs, can help deal with some of the more annoying enemies in the game (for certain patterns.)

Also has potential synergy with ACR kinda (though resetting debuff stacks when she triggers explosions makes it a little awkward)

QBU-88

QBU-88
Rifle ★★★★★ Iffy in use, has some potential

Imoko's much less loved daughter, because at some point she apparently adopted a Kongou class Battlecruiser. Unlike G36 who gets more costumes than any 2 dolls combined, QBU has had all of... 1.

Performancewise, she joined the weird rifle pile by being another theoretically good on paper weapon that has issues in practical field use. Basically, every few times she fires at an enemy, she causes an explosion with a 1.5 unit radius, and when she pops her active, she hits for less than a normal small bamboo's worth of damage and then causes an explosion on top.

The bamboo skill adjustment was a boon for her, since EN will never have to deal with her dumb 8s original cooldown and can now fire it off at 4s, making her usable as an anti-medium-scale unit, kinda handy vs paradeus, but otherwise not exceptional.

Was actually handy in Shattered Connexion, but kind of questionable before then. YMMV.

JS 9

JS 9
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Pretty good. DPS or Eva tank flex is nice

kazuki wrote this because xecty is a lazy fuck, it'll probably get rewritten

On skill activation, gain stacks of EVA or FP. The caveat for this is the amount of enemies on the field, the more enemies on the field, the less stacks of FP (base of 3) you get and in exchange, you get more stacks of EVA(max of 6). So what this means is, versus a boss she'll be a DPS SMG with her three stacks of FP, and versus swarms of enemies, she's an evade tank. So be sure to think about how you'll be deploying her.

One particular area she excels in, and probably the most useful, is during night battles. Her tiles allows for you to run her with Mk23 on 5 so you don't need to drop an AR for a HG.

Blaser R93 Tactical

Blaser R93 Tactical
Rifle ★★★★★ YZ DELIVERS

YZ personally promised she would be good, so she is. Really nice stats, including the highest accuracy stat of all rifles. The skill seems odd, being a two-parter but she does way more damage than it seems, and when her skill pops off, she pops off. The mix of rate of fire and firepower buffs is bigger than it seems (the stacks are multiplicative with each other), and she ends with a significant approximate DPS increase of 86% with all three stacks of her buff and her firepower buff active. Even when her skill is not active, she has very good uptime versus bosses and other high HP targets due to the passive effect. Because of her nature, she can slot in with almost any other rifle and benefit from whatever handgun buffers you want to use.
