KBP PP-90

KBP PP-90
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Usable

Actually has one of the highest evade ratings among the SMGs and posseses a skill with really good uptime (15/16!), but kinda eh tile buffs. So why just "usable?"... Because other SMGs exists, and does it better in every way. In addition to having other features that make it better like being able to increase damage or accuracy or evade passively, permanently, and it is very hard to recommend her knowing that something superior in every way is kinda... you know, there.

KAC-PDW

KAC-PDW
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Janky and niche

I'm not sure what's more impressive, how fuckin' badly her skill is coded, or how she manages to not wear clothes in any of her outfits despite technically wearing clothes.

So the funny thing is, she doesn't get rid of all debuffs in the traditional sense of purging all debuffs. Instead, there is a list of skill effects the game considers debuffs and she removes THOSE. So, if the debuff isn't on her list? Sucks. Also, if a skill causes multiple debuffs but some aren't on the list, she won't remove the ones not on the list. So, she actually removes MOST of the Parachute Fairy debuffs but not the critical rate debuff because that isn't on the list, lmao. The only good news is as an SMG, her critical rate is shit anyway, so you shouldn't care. She also doesn't stop some boss debuffs, though at the moment the only one I recall off-hand she doesn't is Fail's. Yeah, she's janky. Hope MICA updates her as bosses get more debuff attacks.

Besides that, the one-second shield can be handy for, say, stopping an unavoidable attack under manual control or for tanking enemies under Parachute Fairy debuffs.

Jill Stingray

Jill Stingray
Handgun Special Mixing Drinks, Changing Metas

It's time to mix drinks and change formations. As a bartender, one might wonder exactly WHAT Jill can possibly do on a battlefield, and I'm sure she's asking the same thing.

Jill has a lot of firsts. She's the first unit in the game a player can use that doesn't shoot at all. She's the first one to have 8 different unique gears, and she's the first one to have a skill whose effects vary based on equipment. She's also the first one to have such an annoyingly complicated skill. The skill is everything. Her tile buffs are great, but they HAVE to be, because she doesn't contribute damage on her own. What her FP stat does is make her skill CD go down faster (except initial. Also caps at 30%, but this is INDEPENDENT of the reduction from rifle tilebuffs so yes, THOSE stack. Multiplicatively.). Unfortunately this means while she's good, how good she is depends almost entirely on how much you can use her ability to mix drinks, which btw, she can't do properly until lvl80.

Drinks are discussed in more detail in the detail page, because this is gonna be a long one.

Jashin-Chan

Jashin-Chan
Submachine Gun Special Off-tank with more focus on DPS

Kinda lewd. Her side DPS actually isn't awful, but her ability to tank sucks. Also it's called Jashin-chan Dropkick because she... dropkicks things.

JSL Spitfire

JSL Spitfire
Handgun ★★★★ Niche uses

A Britbong copy of Cz-75! ...And kinda weird. She's sort of setup for the 2MG 2SG 1HG thing that doesn't come up much and is defensively oriented, but sometimes it comes up. Just... not on any content currently. Does occasionally see actual use as a result, but she's not going to be your first pick for most jobs.

The problem is that RoF reduction is kinda meh, as while it does reduce enemy DPS, it merely slows down the rate of being shot, as opposed to making shots worse (good for SGs as their armour can more readily absorb it) or less accurate (which helps Eva tanks just not be damaged entirely), making it the weakest of the enemy attack stat debuffs.

Izhmash PP-19 Bizon

Izhmash PP-19 Bizon
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Usable

Not to be confused with PP-19-01. Decent stats, interesting buff tile, but like all grenade SMGs kinda superfluous.

Between Zas (same area, more damage, enemy debuff), molotovs (a lot more damage and damage over time, smaller area), and airstrikes (all the area, more damage) there's plenty of better options to sacrifice your enemies on the altar of Megumin. Can be pressed into service if you're really lacking off tank options, I guess.

Extra notes available.

Izhevsk MP-446 Viking

Izhevsk MP-446 Viking
Handgun ★★ Usable

Honestly would be fodder but she has a decent enough tileset if you're lacking in HGs with FP boost. Gets considerably better in her mod form, which improves her tiles immensely.

Ithaca M37 Featherlight

Ithaca M37 Featherlight
Shotgun ★★★★ Usable

Called "The Northern Hemispheres" for fairly obvious reasons. Somehow, someone decided "Featherlight" clearly means "biggest tits on a t-doll possible." Her skill lets her do a bit of damage except you dont care about that sort of thing on a shotgun and its not like the skill has time to trigger on a typical fight (most SGs dont get to use their skills anyway). Still, well... she's a shotgun with 22 base armour. This puts her ahead of the lower end shotties like supershorty.

Ingram MAC-10

Ingram MAC-10
Submachine Gun ★★★ If desperate

Good buff, but honestly kinda shit for most purposes (but her buff tiles are better than Sten's if you somehow happen into a pile of her early). You want a better SMG, honestly, but if you're desperate sure? Mostly cores though.

Her exclusive equipment is a silencer, and while it gives ten more evade over a regular silencer, is expensive as all hell and doesn't give her a significant boost. It does make her a bit more on par with UMP45's base stats, but with significantly worse tiles.

IWI Jericho 941

IWI Jericho 941
Handgun ★★★★ Niche uses

Another CZ-75 clone, this time an Israeli one! The doll that Negev got her funny ideas from. Also Spike Spiegel's gun. If you don't know who Spike Spiegel is, you really should. Look it up, watch the show, I'll wait.

Her passive boosts dolls when they reload which... basically gives other MGs and SGs Negev-like buffs, except weaker. Unfortunately this is not helpful at all for general use because you don't want to be reloading in the first place. She also sucks for judge because judge also hits the back row and so she also eats damage. Does much better for other multimag fights but YMMV with that.

The active is ok but the %s are lower than other 4 star dolls are more 3 star territory, and require being in her tiles, which makes your formation kind of cramped, unlike what you can do with K5. It also doesn't help MGs much because... well, the startup CD.

INSAS

INSAS
Assault Rifle ★★★ Cores!

She's every bit as good as the real thing. By which I mean India went back to using AKs shortly after.

Howa Type89

Howa Type89
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Tries very hard to cater to the Japanese market. Actually isn't bad.

Ok, so she isn't actually bad. She does, however, have a stupidly long skill like a JK cramming for an entrance exam, most of which is largely irrelevant because all you care about is her damage output.

Which I guess is kind of alright.

Her skill has a good initial cooldown, and she's actually better than most ARs, but she won't usurp the position of the top ARs. A good pick for your B-team.

Howa Type-64 Battle Rifle

Howa Type-64 Battle Rifle
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Weird niche uses

Aka 64 Shiki if you're a weeb.

She's a bit of a complicated unit in that certain enemy thresholds alter what her skill does, thus making her work better vs bosses (with her colossal 90% FP boost for a few seconds) than for regular encounters. However, the timings are awkwardly short for the big boost, and the 2nd half reduces her firepower a bunch but also buffs the hell out of the stuff in front (which, if it's SR3, means more damage for her.) Note that the skill is less awkward than it seems, as it counts doll groups, rather than individuals, so 5x 5-linked enemies is totally fine, and so on.

Unfortunately, they removed cool tile buff tricks so her potential of giving insane buffs is a lot more limited than before

High Standard Model 10 (HS10/HSM10)

High Standard Model 10 (HS10/HSM10)
Shotgun ★★★ It's a shotgun

3* Super Shorty. Better tiles and more HP, one more point of base armour but less evasion and lower skill multiplier kinda comes out to about equal tanking capability. Which isn't all that great, but at least she's free.

Heckler & Koch XM8

Heckler & Koch XM8
Assault Rifle ★★★★ Core fodder

Like her real life counterpoint, ultimately disappointment despite being not quite entirely worse than many competitors.

She's not the worst grenadier out there, but in the end, both 416 and SOPMOD are better than her, and you don't need more than a few grenadiers. She DOES have a mod now. Shame that outside of a few very niche scenarios, the above statement still applies.
