Howa Type-64 Battle Rifle

Howa Type-64 Battle Rifle
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good, if you know how

Aka 64 Shiki if you're a weeb.

She's a bit of a complicated unit in that certain enemy thresholds alter what her skill does, thus making her work better vs bosses (with her colossal 90% FP boost for a few seconds) than for regular encounters. However, the timings are awkwardly short for the big boost, and the 2nd half reduces her firepower a bunch but also buffs the hell out of the stuff in front (which, if it's SR3, means more damage for her.) Note that the skill is less awkward than it seems, as it counts doll groups, rather than individuals, so 5x 5-linked enemies is totally fine, and so on.

Also, like all units with tilescan buffs, you can futz with getting the buff multiple times by having units at the right spots at the right time (though its a little harder to use as it checks 3s into the skill rather than on skill use). This produces a +140% buff that, while hard to use, a creative commander might find some purpose for. YMMV with that.

Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Good

Standard issue rifle of the ROKAF and only non-main-Heroine doll to get her own fully animated PV. Also a tribute to Anmi's ability to make some of the game's lewdest art and have people not notice because of how innocent the faces are. Almost every adult Korean male is very intimately familiar with her, whether they wanted to be or not.

Imagine G11 started up her skill right at the start of the fight. Imagine she was completely useless against armour (more so than she already is). That's K2 in a nutshell. Super high DPS (1 of the strongest) for the first 6 seconds vs trash, but cannot fight armor to save her life and is absolutely awful against bosses. However, her ability to kill unarmored trash is some of the best in the game, which has plenty of uses since bosses are not actually the most common enemy type.

What her skill does is reduce her damage but fire off 3 round bursts, and builds up a heat counter which, when capped out, uh... fucks up her stats. The other part of her skill (stronger single shot damage but slows her down and makes every shot cool down instead of heat up) generally doesn't come up. Some actually recommend not giving her too many RoF buffs or she'll overheat.

Also, she's an awful Korean, being unable to tolerate spicy food (but she tries anyway)

Thot twin #3?!

And probably the one that's going to give me a fucking heart attack. Yes, her skill has big numbers. Biiiiig nuuuuuuumbers. Now get your dick off your phone screen and start using your brain:

  • If she does not use her active, she slowly gains evasion over time. Emphasis on slowly.
  • If she does use her active, her evasion slowly drops down to "nonexistent", making her a sitting duck if she's tanking.

In a proper tanking role, her buff tiles are literally useless: 500% crit buff x 5% SMG base crit rate = 30% crit rate if you aren't running a suppressor or a crit scope, and if you are using those, your SMGs will have shit-tier accuracy even if you stack reasonable amounts of buffs on them. At the same time you're losing out on AR buffs, which will extremely cripple your DPS. You're better off bringing C-MS or RO635 to buff your back line instead. Even Suomi can buff her evasion up faster than UMP40 could ever hope to.

If she does use her active skill, it'll similarly take incredibly long for her to really ramp up her damage skill – at 18+ seconds to get her damage above 2* ARs, she competes with Negev for the title of "slowest stacking skill in the game", and SR-3MP consistently out-DPSes her even without any buffs. With the UMPs' exclusive equip. Without, her damage output is even worse.

You can build some silly 5 SMG meme echelons around her that sometimes don't totally suck, but unless you know what you're doing, you should put her on cafe duty.

Her basic tile buff is excellent, which instantly makes her the best handgun to use with MG echelons at day. It's also good for AR echelons at night, if you don't have 5* PEQs on your ARs, similar to SAA. The combination of a significant HG evasive buff plus very decent rifle damage buff also makes her a solid alternative to Grizzly for RFHG echelons. So far, so good.

…and then you notice that her skill is tile based. With proper setup, this means she gives an 174% evasion buff to HG/SMG, 81% damage buff to AR/RF, and/or 483% accuracy buff to MGs. This can a bit finnicky to pull off, but the results are hilarious enough to make it worth the effort.

Ok, first things first: TURN OFF HER AUTOSKILL AND SET HER TO MANUAL IMMEDIATELY.

Also, NEVER SET HER ON A FRIEND ECHELON EVER.

UPDATE: This is fixed everywhere now so you can ignore that bit.

That out of the way, she's a topnotch high performance SMG with your choice of permanent passive buff. She renders all of the long-duration-but-average-buff Evade type SMGs completely pointless, having more HP than most, and basically infinite duration buffs you can choose.

Your choice of permanent 65% Evade buff (default), 85% Firepower Buff (2nd choice) or 200% Acc buff (3rd choice). Using her skill cycles between all 3 of them (if you cant tell, theyre color coded. Evade is blue, FP is red, hit is orange. If youre colorblind... sucks to be you I guess.) Noone actually uses the Acc buff though. Also if you leave her autoskill on, it constantly cycles between these 3 and it gets annoying. In a friend echelon, you cant turn it off ever so it forever spams it and annoys people.

Oh, and she can load AP ammo, if you for some reason need an SMG that can do that. This does come up sometimes.

Aka 100 Shiki if you're a fucking weeb.

A pox upon the 5 star SMG drop pool. The reserve girl holding the current record for "longest time from production to actual release" at over 2 years from being mentioned to being worked on to finally seeing light of day. I think she forgot how to be a t-doll with how long she was left there. She's... pretty I guess. But for the most part, her performance makes you go "Ah, thats why they lost the war."

Possibly utterly shit due to being designed by the same dude that designed possibly the least safe service pistol ever issued in the history of humans shooting each other, but this was 1 of his actually decent guns dammit.

Shield power seems good compared to MDR or SAT8, but MDR increases evade Significantly and SAT8 is a shotgun so she basically takes minimal damage. This has... kinda nothing going for it. It has +firepower if the shield survives and +evade if it breaks, but the delays are so long (8s startup!) that the evade doesnt help much and the FP increase is basically nothing compared to actual damage SMGs who btw, would have popped off way earlier in the fight (even if it was a useful number, its 13 seconds before it kicks in. Not even shotguns take this long to get going.)

The EN timed exclusive T-doll! AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM!

She's somewhat similar to IWS conceptionally, but due to how her rate of fire works (or rather doesn't), and her guaranteed hits (she ignores evasion/accuracy), she's used in different situations… that don't yet exist in EN.

While IWS will remain the better generalist, M200 will be excellent once we get evasive armoured enemies at night, which are a royal pain in the ass to deal with otherwise. It's possible without M200, by stacking up enough buffs, but M200 just 360 MLG noscope headshots them, which is obviously superior.

Aka Grapecano.

A ridiculously good RF whose main flaw is "there is nothing worth shooting on EN with this grade of firepower." She's under recommended because despite this, she's actually still pretty good with good stats and she will demolish any non boss and non elite you throw her at. She's recommended already rather than good because I know I'll forget it later.

The rifle you'd expect from the nation that fought 12 battles on the same spot in a row only to lose them all, and then went on to lose mountaineers to frostbite two years in a row in summer. Just look at that smug grin. "Tehee, guess we lost to Ethiopians again!"

…ingame, she has a weird skill that buffs dolls in her column slightly, which will later feature in a few specialized formations that include Python and is sometimes used to buff M82 (or Kar98k, in one of the few times she was ever brought ought the dorm). There's a couple of other niche uses as well (M200), but mostly, she looks like she needs to be supervised outdoors.

Either way, you likely won't need more than one copy of her, maybe two, but that's stretching it.

Aka StG 77, the ARMEEUNIVERSALGEWEHR.

…another testament to Austrians being fucking crazy:

  • Her tiles give slightly weaker buffs than Ribey's or M4A1's, but since she buffs all types, she'll also boost your SMGs, helping both Shrimp and molotovs.
  • Her stats are excellent, and she's a damage dealer very close to G11's level.
  • Her skill sets her RoF to 150 and basically turns her into an MG (sounds included. Yes, it changes her firing sound to match an MG.), with goofy targeting that you CANNOT CONTROL BY ANY MEANS (Including Contender). At level 10, it will have no accuracy penalty either!

10/10, would suffer awful trigger pull again

When her artist read up on her, she was kind of horrified and drew a weak-bodied hospital patient who hates her defective form. In the actual game, she is a stupidly good performance AR-buffer. Her skill is somewhat peculiar, because she does not buff herself, but she more than makes up for it by turning the other two ARs into veritable murder machines. Presumably because the other ARs are horrified at the thought of her dying out with them and wanting to kill the enemy as soon as possible.

Handgun ★★★★★ Recommended

She has some of the highest damage and crit buffs in the game, with the best possible tiles ("All around her"), and her skill allows her to override the targeting logic of most other dolls¹, making them focus their fire some, very unlucky fucker (boss if present, otherwise furthest/highest HP/nearest enemy, depending on whether Contender is back/middle/front row). Oh and the skill doesn't wait until impact - the bonuses kicks in as soon as the shot leaves the muzzle. She also can equip AP ammo, which doesn't come up much, but there's a few fights later where this is immensely valuable and if you're using a HG vs armour at night, well... you know. Did I mention she has 40% base crit? She does.

Another grenadier that's not useless. Her grenade fires after just 4 seconds, making it actually matter, and either makes hit enemies take 115% damage for 3 seconds (3 or more hits) or buff her own damage by 60% for 8 seconds.

The self-buff is not too useful, giving her damage output comparable to G41/FNC, but since she hits with a wide blanket, it's fairly likely she will instead trigger the debuff which, while not particularly useful on EN RIGHT NOW (due to weaker enemies), becomes increasingly valuable later on when enemies gain ever more health, and letting your other units deal bonus damage ends up being really useful.

Additionally she shines at corpse dragging, allowing you to corpse drag four units for the cost of supplying one unlinked(!) AR on certain maps. For that alone, you'll want to keep two of them with lvl60 stats, preferably at 1 link.

An absolutely bonkers rifle that you'll want a support squad for. Popularly called IWSxodia. A super high firepower RF with +180% damage, but -RoF. Best paired with the 4 best RoF boosting handguns you can get your hands on. 6 seconds into the fight, her skills kick in and she will basically seem less like a rifle and more like an autocannon, annihilating enemies before her. Doesn't like fighting swarms like Dinergates, but utterly destroy stronger things completely. In terms of raw damage, WA2000 and Enfield can't hold a candle to her. Also useful for blowing up medium sized numbers of very strong yet not-quite bosses. She isn't an end-all solution, but she can get quite close. You can also use her with a reduced support squad, however, you'll want to be sure that you know what you're doing. Since she WILL punish you for using her badly due to the RoF demerit. Also, is MADCORE's waifu.

The original Wonder Nine, she has... absolutely nothing in common with any of the other wonder nines in the game, instead opting to have a Tactical Throwing Ax which is more useful than her other gun. Basically, she's a bamboo spear unit in handgun form. Surprisingly good damage for such low base ATK if teamed with the right support squad. Seems niche, but she can actually 1-shot some bosses if setup properly.
