AR-57

AR-57
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Weird multipurpose SMG that can buff allies

She looks like a discount STAR-chan, although it's hard to describe anything that uses a stupidly expensive round like the 5.7 as a discount anything. She has a three second long cooldown and the skill lasts for two seconds. Her big thing is that she can also buff SMGs. She can be used either a mild firepower buff or an actually not awful evasion buff, the downside of which being that getting her evasion buff to work requires moving your dolls around.

SIG MCX

SIG MCX
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Hark, an interesting AR for once

Status warfare doesn't come up too much in GFL too much given bosses are routinely immune to it and elites get shortened status effect durations, but if you actually need status effects from an AR, the stun is surprisingly far-reaching behind the initial target, and she prioritizes enemies suffering from debuffs.

G11 Mod

G11 Mod
Assault Rifle ★★★★★★ Red Bull gives you buffs.

Finally adjusted so she can stop being perpetually narcoleptic (sort of) through the power of energy drinks. She was already a decent AR whose weakness was that she couldn't hurt armor. Well, they solved the armor problem by doing percentage-based damage. Her damage is still affected by armor, but often she'll just do enough damage that you won't care anyway and can contribute to the fight regardless. She still has the issue of the poor uptime due to her long skill cooldown, but you should be smart enough to deal with that.

Steyr ACR

Steyr ACR
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Overly finnicky to use

The Steyr ACR is the gun the Pallet Rifles in EVA are based off of, and this one is about as useful. On one hand, it seems like she'd be good for para fairy and its debuffs (you get +25% final damage with that), except it isn't enough to make up for the debuffs still. It's also not very easy to get debuffed. Evaluation may change based on future enemies, but really it's not worth it when you have so many good ARs to choose from.

Jashin-Chan

Jashin-Chan
Submachine Gun Special Off-tank with more focus on DPS

Kinda lewd. Her side DPS actually isn't awful, but her ability to tank sucks. Also it's called Jashin-chan Dropkick because she... dropkicks things.

HP-35

HP-35
Handgun ★★★★★ John Browning's greatest creation. Good with the right synergies. Also KSVK mod's spotter.

After the Lord Browning made the 1911, he decided he could do better still. This is that better pistol. Suck it, fudds.

She has good performance at night, making enemies take more damage as long as they're debuffed (has good synergies with units that debuff) and she herself will inflict debuffs on enemies. She works nicely with KSVK mod, due to how KSVK mod's target priority works.

Even if you don't have her active going, her passive keeps at least some damage up at all times as long as you can keep debuffs up.

Howa Type89

Howa Type89
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Tries very hard to cater to the Japanese market. Actually isn't bad.

Ok, so she isn't actually bad. She does, however, have a stupidly long skill like a JK cramming for an entrance exam, most of which is largely irrelevant because all you care about is her damage output.

Which I guess is kind of alright.

Her skill has a good initial cooldown, and she's actually better than most ARs, but she won't usurp the position of the top ARs. A good pick for your B-team.

SL8

SL8
Rifle ★★★★★ Good RoF rifle. Demands more representation for other dolls.

Why does she have Shark teeth? Dammit Imoookoooo

Despite the teeth, she's somehow the nice HK girl. And somehow, she's the smart one. Look, HK is weird ok?

Anyway, she packs as much as 84% damage increase with her skill going at full power, but you're more likely to get a 76% boost in a typical RF/HG formation. Still, she's not bad. In practice she's slightly worse than R93 in most cases, but not usually enough to matter.

Note her buff tiles are funny and affect everything, so this makes her secondary ability a little easier to use. That said, she does NOT give HGs the usual cooldown boost most other RFs do.

AK-Alfa

AK-Alfa
Assault Rifle ★★★★★ Acceptable if you still need more ARs for bog knows why

She has a very weird and complicated set of skill interactions for a role that really just wants good, consistent dakka. Has a funny combo skill with M82 (the bullpup AR, not the RF). In terms of performance she's actually not awful, but she doesn't stand out, and there are enough good ARs to use other than her.

Agent 416

Agent 416
Assault Rifle Special KindamaybesortaIguess (Niche Use)

Proof that the universe contractually requires 416 to be a bitch, given trying to fix her shitty personality is what caused the problem in the first place. More hilarious is she's not even an HK416, but the Patriot Arms clone.

Instead of being a grenadier, she's basically a mine layer, planting mines that seem grenade-like, but the big thing is that THEY DO NOT IGNORE ARMOR. They do still do full damage to all units caught in the blast though.

She is however, pretty fast, taking only four seconds to use her skill for the first time, and having all three of her special gear means you start the battle with some mines in place already. This is potentially useful for something.

INSAS

INSAS
Assault Rifle ★★★ Cores!

She's every bit as good as the real thing. By which I mean India went back to using AKs shortly after.

Schmeisser Maschinenpistole 41 (MP41)

Schmeisser Maschinenpistole 41 (MP41)
Submachine Gun ★★★ The smuggest cores you'll ever feed to better dolls

Combine an MP40 with an MP28 lower and you get a gun that's more expensive to build than an MP40 without being any better. Thanks Schmeisser, real good use of limited wartime production capacity.

…in-game, she's a 3* smoke grenade main tank and at best a sidegrade to MAC-10 with worse tiles and roughly equal tanking capabilities (less evasion, more HP).

Both are worse than UMP45, and Ingram is cheaper to raise, so there's no point in bothering with MP41.

Heckler & Koch HK33

Heckler & Koch HK33
Assault Rifle ★★★ Core

Actually hits RoF cap at SL10 without external buffs, but she's a 3* and we're drowning in 4 and 5* RoF-selfbuffing ARs that do the same much better (AR-15 even unmodded and all the 5* ones) or just bypass RoF cap altogether (SAR-21, AUG).

FWIW, better than OTs-12 even if the latter has her unique equip, but we have so many RoF ARs that even nodupers shouldn't have to bother with either.

A-91

A-91
Assault Rifle ★★★★ Interesting, but not very likely to be used

The best dorm doll with how fucking out of it she is, and with some absolutely amazing dialogue both as general lines and in her appearance in the CT story, and a great design. Her damaged art being fuckin' bonkers is great.

And that's where most of the praise is going because her performance is... well it's not dismal, but it suffers from the same 8-second ICD issue grenadiers have in general. Should that not be an issue though, her self buffs at night are actually alright, since it gives her more mileage than other grenadiers. You aren't very likely to use her though, simply because things like SOP still exist and will likely have better performance.

Beretta Cx4 Storm

Beretta Cx4 Storm
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Not to be confused with her actually useful relative

She seems to have forgotten her skirt or pants, and has a very interesting discussion with SOPMOD about the nature of dolls. She also likes collecting cigarette packs.

There is a reason I'd rather be talking about her setting details than her performance. In the story, she mentions she's actually part of a logistics unit instead of a combat unit, and you can see why.

Her stats are middle of the road, and the skill is actually fairly unremarkable. Uptime is worse than than Suomi or MP7, while also giving worse final numbers. Combine with not impressive HP, middling tiles and the fairly easy availability of better SMGs, and you can see why keeping her in your own logi teams is probably doing her a favour.
