Name Class Rarity Useful? Notes

Lusa

Lusa
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Has some funny niche uses, taunt can be useful.

Honestly the part you care about is the damage reduction and taunt, which can be useful depending on the type of enemy you're fighting. She wants very much to be the off-tank, in a classic ARSMG formation, and actually has decent tiles for it.

She is NOT for normal use due to her awful DPS, but the taunt can be useful vs certain enemies in the distance to keep them from interfering with the fight (for example, the new model Army tanks). The taunt can also affect random-target type enemy attacks.

SAF

Submachine Gun ★★★★ Failed Experiment

As a grenadier, she's fucking awful. It has less power than most grenades do, which is not helped by her shitty FP stat, and she doesn't even aim at enemies (she aims at points on the ground based on her location). This may or may not have value depending on what weird niche content might come up, but she's definitely not general use material.

CF05

CF05
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Surprisingly useful "Armored" SMG

For once, an SMG that does something different. Her skill at max reduces her damage taken per hit by 15, except since it ISNT armour, it cannot be penetrated by armour-ignoring effects (like explosions) or enemy AP. So, massive multi-hit effects kinda just get shrugged off. Also, unlike shotguns, as an SMG she can dodge, so you don't mind taking ticks of 5 damage here and there.

What makes her useful while shield SMGs exist is mainly the much faster ICD.

MAS-38

MAS-38
Submachine Gun ★★★ Forgotten Weapons Star

Is your name Ian McCollum? If not, you probably don't care.

She's Honeybadger, but 3 star, and the tiles are kinda upside down.

She's surprisingly alright for a 3 star, but she's not going to wow you.

Insert bad joke about 7mm French Long here.

PM-9

PM-9
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Not-exceptional secondary SMG

She's basically a 5-star hybrid-type SMG, except she's not exceptional at either role she can do. She's meant to be a sub-tank, where she does not really excel. She's fine for generic use, but not great for high-end stuff.

Sten Mark II Mod

Sten Mark II Mod
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Has no idea wtf she's doing

She's not sure if she wants to be offensive or defensive, and kinda sucks at both. Her only real purpose for existing is "the story is kinda cute."

Base version isn't great either.

Pistolet-Mitrailleur de 9 mm modèle 1949 (MAT-49)

Pistolet-Mitrailleur de 9 mm modèle 1949 (MAT-49)
Submachine Gun ★★★★ She Does It For Free

4* version of JS 9 with slightly different stat spread (worse eva, basically) and awkward tiles. Can be used similarly to her, if you don't mind kiting her more to make up for the goofy positioning.

Her biggest advantage is that you will be farming 12-4E enough to get sufficient copies of her to x5 link her for free, but by the time you can reach 12-4E you should have better SMGs.

So overall… meh. Does the job, but so will others.

Agent Vector

Agent Vector
Submachine Gun Special Must have all her special gear or she's basically useless

She's not the worst tank, but she's expensive to raise, and she needs her ability active to really tank. Unfortunately her base ability is meh, meaning she needs all three of her special gear equipped to be actually any fucking good. With her gear, she's acceptable, with alright uptime, but her barriers are inevitably going to fail and while the evasion boost is nice, the game has other tanks that are just as good. Still, if you must use her for some reason, there are worse tanks... provided you have the gear for her, anyway.

So make sure you have her gear equipped and leveled, or don't even bother.

Heckler & Koch MP5 Mod

Heckler & Koch MP5 Mod
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ The Milk Tin's power grows

With the advent of her mod, she goes from being Thompson's kouhai to one of the strongest force shielders available. Too bad G36c mod exists now, but let's not talk about her.

Through the power of milk, when she lowers her force shield, she gains a decent evasion buff to turn her into a mixed force shield and evasion tank. While the buff requires there to be multiple enemy packs, any amount of evasion to go along with the force shield is welcomed. Oh, did I mention she also buffs rifles with her tiles now? That's a thing. The buffs she does provide aren't particularly useful for rifles, but it may come in handy.

She DOES require her unique equipment from the night map to function effectively, for the milk tin is all powerful. The mod equipment, however, is pretty garbage.

Her previous iteration can be found here

Heckler & Koch UMP9 Mod

Heckler & Koch UMP9 Mod
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Not bad, but also really expensive for what she does

On one hand, she's actually not bad, being a flashbang unit with a solid backup skill (If it's vs. a boss, she becomes a shielder tank instead with some minor evasion buffs) that also helps kill mooks faster. On the other hand, she has a mod3's price tag and opportunity cost, at a time when there's lots of nice mods running around.

If you already have a nice set of mod3 dolls, go ahead. If not, consider saving it for later.

...Oh, and you can save yourself the trouble of getting her mod equip. It's kinda pointless on a tank.

Henrietta

Henrietta
Submachine Gun Special Decent SMG that is also very memeable

The meme potential of a girl with a camera and a smiling face is good enough reason to have her (now that we have multiple secretaries), but she's also not half bad as a combat unit. She gets a shield, and having the shield gives her FP buffs, while losing the shield means she's getting EVA buffs. The uptime is quite good, so she's not a bad side DPS (she has a 69% damage buff at 2 stacks and 119.7% at three stacks) that can sub-in for off-tanking and can even work as a main tank (44% eva at two stacks and 72.8% at 3). The problem is the optimal timing can be a little iffy, but she's alright for AFK fighting since it'll generally be good enough, just not fully optimized. The tradeoff between her and SR-3MP is just uptime vs power.

As expected of the main girl I guess.

Oh, and her tiles are weirdly shaped, but this is not uncommon for off-tank dolls anyway.

Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Occasionally

Very handy if you need an evasive SMG at night, kinda crap at day.

Schmeisser Maschinenpistole 41 (MP41)

Schmeisser Maschinenpistole 41 (MP41)
Submachine Gun ★★★ The smuggest cores you'll ever feed to better dolls

Combine an MP40 with an MP28 lower and you get a gun that's more expensive to build than an MP40 without being any better. Thanks Schmeisser, real good use of limited wartime production capacity.

…in-game, she's a 3* smoke grenade main tank and at best a sidegrade to MAC-10 with worse tiles and roughly equal tanking capabilities (less evasion, more HP).

Both are worse than UMP45, and Ingram is cheaper to raise, so there's no point in bothering with MP41.

Type 64 Mod

Type 64 Mod
Submachine Gun ★★★★ Expensive for what she is but not the worst thing if you really want to use her

She gets debuffs that work even if the flashbang part of her skill doesn't, which makes her slightly more useful than a normal flashbang SMG. On the other hand, she's still a modded doll and thus expensive to build. She isn't useless, but justifying her cost when so many good mods exist that you'd want to get before her means that by the time you get her, she's probably not going to be your number one pick anyway.

IWI X95 Micro Tavor

IWI X95 Micro Tavor
Submachine Gun ★★★★★ Good stats. Has funky specialist targeting that can be good or bad.

From the same artist that brought you Negev and IWS 2000. She's a funny SR-3MP with arguably better tiles and, more importantly, has funny targeting mechanics when her skill is active. She weeds out the weak, taking out the trash in enemy lineups. This is actually useful as fuck in boss fights with infinite trash spawns (you'll see an especially annoying case she can help with in Shattered Connexion), or if you specifically need the trash taken out for some reason. Aside from that, she's a normal direct fire DPS off-tank.
