Operation Arctic 3-4

Author: Kazuki

The final map of Arctic's story. The difficulty from 3-3 gets ramped up even more with numerous bosses guarding Architect. Like 3-3, you'll want to bring multiple echelons for this. The main issue is that your Command Center is likely to be taken if you leave it alone. It's entirely possible that you could get lucky and take the heliport spawning enemies before you lose it, but it's definitely not a consistant strategy. Because of this, two echelons is the minimum I'd recommend taking. To speed things up, ideally you'd take three echelons. One to guard your Command Center, the other to guard the heliport you start with, and one to take out Architect.

This is the first day battle in chapter 3, and oh boy, it's a fun one. The real difficulty spike in chapter 3 starts here. This is where the MG echelon I had listed in 3-1 comes into use. You really want three or more echelons for this, since you have to defend your base as well as take two seperate nodes to capture the enemy Command Center.

I ended up doing a little bit of grinding between 3-1 and 3-2. I wanted to get UMP45 to mod 2 since she was sitting at level 110, and didn't want to waste any exp. Her skill 2 doesn't change too much overall.

As mentioned in chapter 1's intro, chapter 3 is meant for higher end players to complete. Difficulty wise, the first two maps of chapter 3 are about the same  as chapter 2, however at 3-3, you'll have a large spike in difficulty. The upside is, 3-3 and 3-4 are both day maps, so you won't need to worry about night vision.

So, as with chapter one of arctic, a significant amount of time has passed since I wrote anything for a guide. Since the KR/CN event Continuum Turbulance came out, I had to do some significant upgrading to what I had available. Because of this, I'm significantly stronger now, so it's a little hard to get a more objective look at the content's actual difficulty.

Since I can't delevel T-Dolls, I'm forced to limit myself to accomplish this. The limits I'm placing are: Unenhanced green gear only, no modded T-Dolls (Namely STAR-15 and M4A1), and no fairies. This should be enough to give some idea of how strong some things are going to be for the typical EN player.

Same as the last three chapters. No changes in my echelon from 1-1. Go to that post if you want to see it.
